Straumann implants are designed and manufactured in Switzerland, and the Straumann Dental Implant System is among the most extensively studied implant systems in the published clinical literature — decades of independent, peer-reviewed research rather than marketing claims.

The long-term numbers belong to that literature, and they are strong. A retrospective study of 1,692 Straumann tissue-level implants reported a 10-year cumulative implant survival of 98.2%, and a private-practice cohort of 4,591 Straumann implants followed for up to 10 years reported similarly high survival. Those figures describe the implant system in published studies — they are not a success-rate promise by our clinic, because your individual outcome always depends on your health, bone, oral hygiene and follow-up.

That evidence base is why Straumann leads our implant portfolio, and why our clinical team plans it wherever the case calls for the most documented system available. A Straumann implant arrives in sealed, labelled manufacturer packaging carrying its reference and LOT/serial numbers. At Dental Med Austria those labels do not go in the bin: they are recorded in an implant passport you take home, naming the exact system and the exact serial numbers now in your jaw.

That single document is what makes provenance checkable. You — or any dentist, anywhere in the world — can match the passport against your records and radiographs and verify the component with the manufacturer. It is also the paperwork a manufacturer guarantee claim is built on.

Straumann operates a manufacturer guarantee on its implant systems — the Straumann Guarantee — which, under Straumann's published terms, covers the replacement of original Straumann implants, with a lifetime term on the implant itself. The scope, conditions and claim procedure are defined by Straumann, not by us, and are published on Straumann's official guarantee page.

What our clinic contributes is the documentation that makes any such claim possible: because every implant we place is recorded with its serial numbers in your implant passport, the paperwork a manufacturer claim requires exists from day one. This is the manufacturer's guarantee under the manufacturer's terms — we state it as such, and we do not dress it up as a clinic warranty promise.
