Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) rotates a single time around your head to reconstruct a true three-dimensional model of your jawbone, tooth roots, nerve canals and sinus cavities - detail that is simply impossible to see on a flat, two-dimensional X-ray. At Dental Med Austria we use the Vatech A9 CBCT, a modern low-dose system that delivers sharp diagnostic images while keeping radiation exposure to a minimum. The scan itself is quick, completely painless and requires nothing more than sitting or standing still for a few seconds. From that single capture, your clinician can measure bone volume and density, locate the inferior alveolar nerve and map the sinus floor down to the millimetre.
