Once a tooth is gone, the surrounding bone gradually shrinks, and without enough volume an implant has nothing solid to anchor into. By placing a graft material into the deficient area and shielding it with a collagen membrane, GBR guides your own body to regenerate healthy, load-bearing bone over the following months.
